A five-email welcome sequence, handed over two-and-a-half emails in. Returned finished.
Ridgeline Plumbing, a made-up two-van shop. The owner had an AI draft the sequence, got as far as the third email, and stalled. What arrived, what went back, and the receipt.

Our team has been licensed in Connecticut since 2009, so you're in good hands. We'll call before we arrive, we wear boot covers, and if the fix takes longer than quoted, the quote stands.
email 03 · "[insert water heater offer here]"
The dotted line is a claim that did not match the intake sheet. The intake says the license dates from 2011. A prospect would never know. A competitor might.

email 03, finished
Most tank water heaters give out between years 8 and 12. Yours was installed in 2017. For $89 we drain it, check the anode rod, test the relief valve, and tell you plainly whether it has two winters left or five. If it needs replacing, the $89 comes off the job.
Every figure in email 03 — the $89, the 2017 install, the credit — is on the intake sheet the owner filled in. Nothing was invented to fill the hole.
The receipt what was checked, not how
- 14claims across the five emails
- 14traced to a line on the intake sheet
- 1corrected before delivery
- 1revision asked for
- Every claim of fact — license year, service towns, prices, the guarantee, the install date — against the owner's intake sheet.
- Every email reads in the owner's voice, not the first draft's. Two phrases he would never say were cut.
- The one revision: he wanted email 03 to lead with the water heater's age, not the price. It does now.
- Sequence timing, the unsubscribe line and the reply-to were checked against what his sending tool needs. Wiring it up is his tool's job, not this page's.
